siLent reaDing..!xD

The school strongly encourages us to read as to improve our language, both english and mother tongue, the silent reading program is conducted on a daily basis to help us inculcate a good reading habit that most of us still lack in the current state. As we are not restricted to only certain types of books, it is easier for us to get a book that we like and start reading. I like reading, but only if I can actually find a book that I have interest in. Personally, I like to read novels, some of which include 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' and 'Remember Me' by Sophie Kinsella. Books written by her are able to keep one reading it till the end, keeping you in suspense, waiting to find out the next scene. Reading benefit us enormously by widening our knowledge and improving our vocabulary. In similar way, it also helps us in our school work.Lastly, I would like to add that the school can order books according to the requests of majority of the students and increase their interest in reading.

outside school activities..!xD

My outside school activities from Monday-Sunday include tuition classes. Currently, I have english, chinese and science tuition. I spent 2 days on these activities and approximately an hourper subject. Although the period of time is not long, I learn alot of things and get various information on the different subjects, hence, I personally think that it is very useful. It does not affect my studies and instead helps to improve it. I don't really feel stressed with my outside cirriculum activities, though I sometimes feel very tired and can't concentrate as much as I used to. Most outside school activities are useful to students as they can gain another talent and consider another line when they graduate in future. But one should always consider their time schedule before enrolling in these courses as studies should be in top priority.

passion for learning!

Passion for learning is the urge to find out more about the things you don't understand, to clear your doubts. People should have the passion for learning as they would naturally be more curious about the things around them and care to find out, gaining more knowledge along the way. Many of my cousins have a passion for learning, not only are they hardworking, they have the desire to study and put in alot of effort in their work. I think I may have a passion for learning, but not strong enough to make me want to find out every word I come across that is not in my dictionary. To develop a passion for learning, I would make learning more interesting.

total defence!xD

Who would I want to defend for total defence day?Although I haven't really thought of it before, I guess it would be to defend all my friends, regardless of what race or religion they are in. We have got along well for the past period of time, standing beside one another, helping each other in different ways and having fun together. I wouldn't want to lose any of them, for as long as possible.

target setting!xD

Targets were set for the various subjects to give us a clear goal in mind of what we would want to achieve with regards to both academically and in our own interest.I think this setting of goal is useful to us as it determines whether we have worked hard moving towards it.Of course, alot of effort would have be put in before along the way. For me, my goal is to do well for PSLE this year and get into a good secondary school. Being the last year in my primary school life, I also hope to do well in the basketball tournament next week together with all my team mates.Apart from the basketball tournament, the annual track and field meet is also nearing, held about four months away. I do hope I can do well in my high and long jump, improving my results compared to last year. More training!
All Along, my parents and family have been giving me the support, encouraging me to do better, not to give up.They give me useful advice when needed, leading me to the right choice to make.Teachers have guided us along the way and have played an important part in helping us . The school can arrange classes or activities to help us improve and move a step closer to the goal we have set.
